Glass Sand Dollar Paperweights. These sand dollars are a lot less fragile than those you'd find on the beach ... and they don't smell like sea creatures either. These are hefty glass disks with a distinctive sand dollar star decorating the top. The base color is a sandy ivory and the slightly mounded topside is adorned with a dark brown metallic sand dollar pattern. A great accessory for a coastal home, think of this as the perfect hostess gift when visiting the beach house. One of our customers bought a sand dollar for each member of her poker club; another bought one for each of her bridesmaids; my stockbroker gave "dollars" to each of her clients for the holidays; my mom has at least two in every bathroom and gifts them to her guests.
